Carter-Ricks Funeral Homes Phone 573-898-2181 / Fax 573-898-3148 Newspaper Notice of Death John William Eschmann Funeral services for John William Eschmann of Foley, MO were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 10, 2005 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry, MO. Rev. Raymond Doussard of Elsberry, officiated with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Josh Moyer, Don Walker, Josh Glessner, Joe Wheeler, Jerry Wheeler and Jason Kinsler; and honorary pallbearers were James Melton, Matt Kleinheider and Bobby Eschmann. Mr. Eschmann, 61, died Wednesday afternoon, July 6, 2005 at his home near Foley. Born June 8, 1944 in Columbia, IL, he was the son of John Frank and Helen Louise Wierschem Eschmann. He was united in marriage on August 2, 1978 in Fults, IL to Lela Fern Wheeler. He was employed for a number of years as a glass maker for Obernaster Bottle Manufacturing in East St. Louis, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Helen Eschmann. Survivors include his beloved wife of almost 27 years, Lela Eschmann of Foley; three sons: Donald Eschmann and his wife, Rose, of Elsberry, Danny Eschmann of St. Louis, Kenny Bell and his wife, Becky, of Alton, MO; two daughters: Kim Moyer and her husband, Josh, of Elsberry, and Crystal Eschmann of Foley; and ten grandchildren. He also leaves one brother, Robert Eschmann and his wife, Sylvia, of Columbia, IL; one sister, Louise Meyer and her husband, Warren, of Columbia, IL; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2005 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
