Obituary of Mary Lou Ann Clowers

Mary Lou Ann Clowers Funeral Services for Mary Lou Ann Clowers of Foley, MO will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 9, 2015 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Neal Westhoff, Deacon of Immaculate Conception Church in Old Monroe, MO, will officiate with burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be her nephews: Michael Henke, Paul Henke, Mark Henke, Brian Henke, Don Haarmann, Neal Haarmann, Gary Haarmann and Steve Rottger. Ms. Clowers, 58, passed away early Tuesday morning, January 6, 2015 at her home. Born January 4, 1957 in Troy, MO, she was the daughter of Francis Frederick and Ann Elizabeth Westhoff Rottger. Mary Lou was a 1975 graduate of St. Dominic High School in O'Fallon, MO. She owned and managed On The Hill Liquor Store. Mary Lou loved her birds and fishing. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Ann Rottger; and one sister, Doris Haarmann. Survivors include her significant other, Roy Callaway of Foley; Roy's daughters: Rachael Thompson and her husband, Paul, of Winfield and Carrie Callaway, also of Winfield; and three grandchildren: Elaina and Haylee Thompson and Aiden Callaway. Mary Lou also leaves two sisters: Ruth Henke and her husband, Randy, of Old Monroe and Denise Darrish of O'Fallon; two brothers: Jim Rottger and his wife, Mary Lou and Denny Rottger and his wife, Nancy, all of Old Monroe; one brother-in-law, Allan Haarmann of Mexico, MO; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield and again from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. on Friday. Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice or Masses in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 3838 East Highway 47, P.O. Box 253, Winfield, MO 63389.
