Obituary of Rosetta Lester

Rosetta Belle Lester Funeral services for Rosetta Belle Lester of Winfield, MO were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2005 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Rev. Tom Zych, pastor of the Asbury United Methodist Church, officiated with burial in Asbury Cemetery near Foley, MO. Serving as pallbearers were Casey Henry, Pat Henry, Roger Mauzy, Kevin Fletcher, Gary Shields and Gary Lee Shields. Mrs. Lester, 74, passed away Sunday evening, May 29, 2005 at Lincoln County Medical Center in Troy, MO. Born September 12, 1930 in Lincoln County (near Elsberry), Missouri, the daughter of the late George Edward "Eddie" and Frances Morene (nee Taylor) Taylor. She was a 1948 graduate of Elsberry High School. She was united in marriage on August 7, 1949 in Lincoln County, Missouri to Robert Oran Lester. She was employed for several years as a crystal puller at MEMC (formerly Monsanto) in O'Fallon, MO, retiring in 1995. She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church near Foley, MO. Besides her parents, Eddie and Frances Taylor, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 34 years, Bobby Lester who died September 9, 1983. Survivors include one son, Earl Edward Lester of Moscow Mills, MO; two daughters: Patricia Kinsler of Elsberry, MO, and Barbara Jean Fletcher and her husband, Kevin, of Winfield; five grandchildren: Casey Henry and his wife, Tricia, Jodi Mauzy and her husband, Roger, Hattie Lester, Darrin Haynes and Chelsea Fletcher, six great-grandchildren: Savannah Vaughn, Leighton Vaughn, Isabella Mauzy, Emma Henry, Clare Henry and Bo Garrett Henry. She also leaves one sister-in-law, Norma Housewright of St. Charles, MO; other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2005 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
