Obituary of Roger Harding

Funeral services for Roger Dale Harding, Sr. of Troy, MO, were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2005 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Rev. Mike Ryan, pastor of the Winfield Baptist Church, officiated with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield. Serving as pallbearers were Frankie Harding, Amy Myers, Randy Harding, Dexter Harding, Bill Harding, John Harding, Jack Harding, George Harding, Alfred Harding, Sam Harding, Roger Harding, Jr., and Dennis Bray. Mr. Harding, 49, died Wednesday evening, May 4, 2005 in a two-vehicle accident on Highway W near Troy, MO. Born August 22, 1955 in St. Charles, MO, he was the son of Frankie Bell and Mable Ann Tayon Harding, Sr. He was employed for several years at Jersey County Grain Company (Winfield Elevator). He was a member of the Winfield Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Roger Harding, Jr. and his wife, Melanie, of Illinois; five daughters: Georgina Davis and her husband, Josh, of Danville, IL, Trish Harding of Potomac, IL, Shelly Harding of Oakwood, IL, Amanda Harding of Illinois, and Keri Harding of Collison, IL; and nine grandchildren. He also leaves his parents, Frankie and Mable Harding, Sr. of Winfield; nine brothers: Frankie Harding, Jr. of Winfield, Randy Harding of Winfield, Dexter Harding and his wife, Julie, of Winfield, Bill Harding and his wife, Jill, of Winfield, John Harding and his wife, Theresa, of Troy, Jack Harding and his companion, Brenda, of Bowling Green, MO, George Harding of Winfield, Alfred Harding and his wife, Cindy, of Foley, and Sam Harding and his wife, Wendy, of Winfield; one sister, Amy Myers and her companion, Bill, of Foley; numerous nieces, nephews and "boo-koos" relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2005 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Memorials may be made to the Family of Roger D.
