Obituary of Billy Hook

Billy John Hook Funeral services for Billy John Hook of Old Monroe, MO were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 16, 2005 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Rev. Mike Ryan, pastor of the Winfield Baptist Church officiated with burial in the Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield. Serving as pallbearers were Mark McGaughey, Kenneth White, John Zirkle, Sanford Yost, Gerald Davis, Josh McClelland, Daniel Kittle, and Walt Main. Mr. Hook, 31, died Tuesday evening as a result of an automobile accident on Highway 79 near Old Monroe. Born June 12, 1973 in Grayling, Michigan, he was the son of Noah and Gene Ash Hook. He was employed at Most Inc. of Troy, MO. Mr. Hook was member of the Winfield Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman with a love for fishing, hunting, golfing, and camping. Mr. Hook was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Ermel Kittle, mother-in-law, Mildred Kittle, and a sister-in-law, Lanita Jo Kelly. He is survived by his beloved wife of almost 10 years, Donna Hook of Old Monroe; one son: Shawn Hook of the home; one step-daughter, Jana White and her husband, Kenneth, of Foley, MO; three step-sons: Scott Short of Guymon, Oklahoma, Larry Short of Ulysses, Kansas, Brandon Short of Old Monroe; and six grandchildren: Heather Kittle, Kristine White, Christian Short, Brendan White, Zane Short, Donavan Short. He also leaves his father, Noah Hook Oklahoma; his mother, Gene Hook of Clare, MI; two sisters, Shawn McClure and her husband, Mike, of Indio, California, Kristin Brust and her husband, Dave, of Indigo, CA; several niece, nephews; other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2005 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
