Obituary of Dolores Staats

Dolores Barbara Staats Funeral services for Dolores Barbara Staats of Elsberry, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at Carter Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Her brother, George Bauer, will officiate at the service with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Staats, Fred Crowe, Jr., Jason Staats, Kyle Staats, Brendan Lindsay, Michael Lindsay, Ryan Lieneke and Joshua Faerber. Mrs. Staats, 68, died Saturday morning, February 19, 2005 at her home in Elsberry. Born December 11, 1936 in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Agnice Bernice Marty Bauer. She was united in marriage on December 31, 1954 in St. Louis to Alan Maurine Staats. Mr. and Mrs. Staats moved to Elsberry 18 years ago. Besides her parents, Henry and Agnice Bauer, she was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond Marty, one sister, Shirley Genzler, and one daughter-in-law, Veronica Staats; and her beloved husband of 48 years, Alan Maurice Staats, who died on July 25, 2003. Survivors include two sons: Earl Joseph Staats of Troy, IL, and Mark Allen Staats and his wife, Lona, of Elsberry; five daughters: Annis Mary Faerber and her husband, Larry, of Herman, MO, Karina Alana Lieneke and her husband, Douglas, of Ashland, MO, Susan Carla Adams and her husband, Larry, of Elsberry, Stacey Lynn Pearson and her husband, Bryan, of Elsberry, and Jenna Lee Staats of Elsberry; nineteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She also leaves two brothers: John Bauer and his wife, Rosemary, of Arnold, MO, and George Bauer and his wife, Rayola, of O'Fallon, MO; one sister, Margaret Isbell and her husband, George, of Ennis, TX; several in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at Carter Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
