Obituary of Lee Ellen Chamberlain

Lee Ellen Chamberlain Funeral Services for Lee Ellen Chamberlain of Elsberry, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. Sam Byers, pastor of the Elsberry First Baptist Church, will officiate with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Dale Hurley, Mike Talbot, Jimmy Pruitt, David Davis, Eric Lowe and Joe Ogden. Mrs. Chamberlain, 82, passed away early Friday morning, December 26, 2014 at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles, MO. Born April 24, 1932 in Ashburn, MO she was the daughter of Royce D. and Violet Hunter Watkins. She was united in marriage on July 17, 1963 in Elsberry to Lindell Edward Chamberlain. Ellen worked for several years as a seamstress for Wells Lamont. She was preceded in death by her parents, Royce and Violet Watkins; and one granddaughter, Lindsay Jo Ogden-Whyte, who died September 1, 2014. Survivors include her beloved husband of 51 years, Lindell Chamberlain of Elsberry; her children: Harry Gene Ogden and his wife, Kathy, of Elsberry and Andrea Davis and her husband, David, also of Elsberry. Ellen also leaves three grandchildren: Amy Lowe and her husband, Eric, Joe Ogden and his wife, Lonni, and Jenny Garnett and her husband, Josey; one grandson-in-law, Mike Whyte; four great-grandchildren: Emily and Matthew Lowe, Mason Whyte and Ozzie Garnett; several other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
