Obituary of Mildred Kittle

Mildred Jonell Kittle Funeral services for Mildred Jonell Kittle of Foley, MO were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 6, 2004 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Rev. Mike Ryan, pastor of the Winfield First Baptist Church, officiated with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield. Serving as pallbearers were Billy Hook, Chris Kelly, Scott Short, Daniel Kittle, Kenneth White, and Brandon Short. Mrs. Kittle, 66, died Friday afternoon, December 3, 2004 at her home near Foley. Born July 8, 1938 in Elmer, OK, she was the daughter of the late Elbert Miller "Buck" and Ollie Buena Woolley Toombs. She was a graduate of Texhoma High School in Texhoma, OK. She was united in marriage on August 12, 1956 in Clayton, NM to Ermel Lester "Paul" Kittle. She was employed as a respiratory therapist at Southwestern Hospital in Lawton, OK, before retiring in 1998 and moving with her husband to Foley. She enjoyed working in her yard, spending time with her grandchildren, and going to garage sales. She was a member of the Winfield First Baptist Church near Winfield. Besides her parents, Elbert and Ollie Toombs, she was preceded in death by one brother, Bob Toombs; one sister, Juanita Montoya; one daughter, Lanita Jo Kelly; one grandson, Todd A. Kelly; and her beloved husband, Ermel "Paul" Kittle, who died June 14, 2002. Survivors include two sons: Paul Kittle and his wife, Patty, of Foley, and Tommy Kittle and his wife, Sylvia, of Lawton, OK; one daughter, Donna Hook and her husband, Bill, of Foley; thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. She also leaves one brother, Larry Toombs and his wife, Roena "Ronnie", of Shallowater, TX; one sister Linda Caldwell and her husband, Dan, of Walsh, CO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday, December 5, 2004 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
