Obituary of Richard Lindsey

Richard G. "Rick" Lindsey Funeral services for Richard Glennon "Rick" Lindsey of Winfield, MO were held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 29, 2004 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Msgr. Gregory Schmidt, pastor of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, officiated with burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Troy, MO. Serving as pallbearers were Darrell Henry, Mearle Lindsey, Buddy Presley, Mike Eaton, Frank Aquino, Jeremi Bertels and Jerry Bloomenburg. Mr. Lindsey, 48, died Wednesday, October 27, 2004 as the result of a tractor accident on his farm near Winfield. Born December 20, 1955 in Troy, he was the son of Robert Glennon "Bud" and Myrtle Isabell Herring Lindsey. He was a 1974 graduate of Winfield High School. He was employed as a crane operator for Taylor Excavating for a number of years, retiring in 1992. He was a member of the Hoisting Engineers Local #513 in St. Louis, MO. He also raised and trained quarter horses. He was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association. Mr. Lindsey was preceded in death by his father, Robert G. "Bud" Lindsey; and one brother, Robert W. "Bob" Lindsey. Survivors include two daughters: Kasandra Aquino and her husband, Frank, of Winfield and Kari Lindsey and her fianc�, Jeremi Bertels, of Troy; and one granddaughter, Francesca Aquino. He also leaves his mother, Myrtle Lindsey of Winfield; one brother, Mearle Lindsey and his wife, Lois, of Moscow Mills, MO; two sisters: Constance "Connie" Moser and her husband, Jack, of Troy and Tammie Leutkenhaus and her husband, Rick, of Troy; his former spouse, Sandra Martin of Troy; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 28, 2004 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
