Obituary of Rhonda Jones

Rhonda Delores Jones Funeral services for Rhonda Delores Jones of Elsberry, MO were held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 30,2 004 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. Clay Boley, pastor of Cyrenne Baptist Church, officiated with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery in Elsberry. Serving as pallbearers were J.C. Abner, Richard Hackmann, Chris Kempland, Leslie Keene, Jeffrey Conyers, and Jim Leathers. Ms. Jones, 50, died Sunday, September 26, 2004 near Sterling Harbor at the Mississippi River. Born May 2, 1954 in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of Ralph and Rovina Imogene Conyers Phillips. She was a 1972 graduate of Elsberry High School. She was employed for a number of years as an after quality controller for Ford Motor Company in St. Louis, MO, retiring in 1991. She was a member of the UAW in St. Louis, MO. Besides her father, Ralph Phillips, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Ralph Timothy Phillips and Randy Gene Phillips. Survivors include her daughter, Jessica Renee Jones of Elsberry; her mother, Rovina Phillips of Troy, MO; her sister, Deborah Gale Beauchamp also of Troy; one niece, Shawnna Phillips of Elsberry, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
