Nellie May Lauritzen Graveside services for Nellie May Lauritzen of Troy, MO were held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 14, 2004 at Mt. Zion Cemetery in O'Fallon, MO. Rev. Rick Dement, pastor of First Free Well Baptist Church of O'Fallon, officiated. Mrs. Lauritzen, 100, died early Saturday morning, September 11, 2004 at Lincoln County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Troy, MO. Born November 18, 1903 in St. Charles, MO, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Lucy Belle Jameson Bacon. She was united in marriage on March 18, 1933 in St. Charles to Frank Joseph Lauritzen. Besides her parents, George and Lucy Bacon, she was preceded in death by five brothers: Earl Bacon, Edward Bacon, Elmer Bacon, Roland Bacon and George Bacon; three sisters: Viola Garnett, Grace Stolebarger, and Arline Lauritzen; and her beloved husband, Frank J. Lauritzen, who died January 1, 1994. Survivors include one son, Frank Lauritzen and his wife, Sandy, of O'Fallon, MO; two daughters: Mary Lu Monroe of Troy and Ruby Adams of Nashville, TN; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 14, 2004 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO.
