Floyd Henry Lindsey, Sr. Funeral services for Floyd Henry Lindsey, Sr. of Troy, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Rev. Louis Hunt, pastor of Sulphur Lick Baptist Church, officiated with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery in Elsberry, MO. Mr. Lindsey, 99, died early Friday morning, August 13, 2004 at Troy Manor in Troy, MO. Born April 29, 1905 in Winfield, he was the son of the late Albert J. and Lovina DePue Lindsey. He was united in marriage on March 14, 1923 in Hannibal, MO to Pearl Elizabeth Johnson. A lifelong farmer, he was a member of Sulphur Lick Baptist Church near Troy. Besides his parents, Albert J. and Lovina Lindsey, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Johnson "Jack" Lindsey, William Pike Lindsey, and A.D. Lindsey; two sisters: Mabel Dunivent and Lorene Daughtery; two sons: Floyd H. Lindsey, Jr. and Albert Dean Lindsey; one daughter, Mary Elizabeth Keeton; and his beloved wife, Pearl Lindsey, who died December 14, 1988. Survivors include one son, Aaron D. Lindsey of Troy; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 17, 2004 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
