Helen Mary Dickmeyer A Mass of Christian Burial for Helen Mary Dickmeyer of Old Monroe, MO was held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2004 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church near Old Monroe. Msgr. Gregory Schmidt, church pastor, officiated with burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery near Old Monroe. Serving as pallbearers were Mike Lee, Jeff Lee, Kevin Dickmeyer, Chris Dickmeyer, Mike Dickmeyer, Bob Eusterbrock and Larry Bals. Mrs. Dickmeyer, 93, died Sunday afternoon, July 4, 2004 at the Lincoln County Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Troy, MO. Born July 22, 1910 in Old Monroe, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine Burkemper Bals. She was united in marriage on May 12, 1943 in New Orleans, LA to Fred John Dickmeyer. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church near Old Monroe; the Ladies Sodality and the Quilting Club. Besides her parents, Joseph and Catherine Bals, she was preceded in death by four brothers: Raymond Bals, Elmer Bals, George Bals and Hilary Bals; one sister, Hilda Eusterbrock; and her beloved husband of almost 47 years, Fred Dickmeyer who died April 11, 1990. Survivors include one son, James J. Dickmeyer and his wife, Beverly, of Winfield, MO; two daughters: Mary Jane Lee and her husband, Douglas, of Moscow Mills, MO, and Linda Delk of Winfield; four grandsons: Mike Lee, Jeff Lee, Kevin Dickmeyer and Chris Dickmeyer; and three great-grandchildren: Arron Lee, Alex Lee and Nicole Lee. She also leaves several nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2004 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. A Rosary Service was led by Msgr. Gregory Schmidt during the visitation at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Masses, to the Immaculate Conception Building Fund or the Parkinson's Foundation in care of Carter Ricks Funeral Home, 3838 East Highway 47, P.O.
