Obituary of Lois Maynard

Lois Grace Maynard Funeral services for Lois Grace Maynard of Troy, MO were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Mr. Larry Smith and Mr. Jeff Smith officiated with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield. Serving as pallbearers were her grandsons. Mrs. Maynard, 77, died early Monday morning, June 21, 2004 at Lincoln County Medical Center in Troy. Born April 28, 1927 in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of the late William Otto "Bing" and Lois Grace Van BusKirk Payne. She was employed for a number of years as a certified nursing assistant for Lincoln County Memorial Hospital in Troy. She was Omsbudsman for Lincoln County Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Troy. Besides her parents, William "Bing" and Lois Payne, she was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Jean Bickel. Survivors include three sons: Ralph William Maynard of Middletown, MO, Michael Maynard of Lilburn, GA, and Robert Maynard and his wife, Julia, of House Springs, MO; three daughters: Judith Johnson of Troy, Cathy Smith and her husband, Larry, of House Springs, and Lois Ann Pudiwitr and her husband, Walt, of Winfield; 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She also leaves one brother, Donald Payne and his wife, Ouida, of St. Ann, MO; two sisters: Mary Ann Pereira of Kansas City, MO, and Judy Chenault and her husband, Jack, of St. Ann; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
