Obituary of Norma Robinson

Norma Fay Robinson Funeral services for Norma Fay Robinson of Foley, MO were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 20, 2004 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Rev. Steve Acuff, Rev. Rick Waldon, and Rev. Richard Grewell officiated with burial in Bethany Cemetery near Foley. Serving as pallbearers were Justin Robinson, Dwayne Robinson, Forrest Robinson IV, Bob Robinson, Ivan Hazelwood, Dustin Robinson and Ryan Crandall. Mrs. Robinson, 61, died early Thursday morning, June 17, 2004 at her daughter's home in Neosho, MO. Born May 28, 1943 in New Hope, MO, she was the daughter of the late Marion William and Elsie Lee Barnes Harding. She was united in marriage on April 4, 1961 in Foley to Forrest Eugene Robinson, Jr. She was a member of the Bible Holiness Church in Elsberry, MO. Besides her parents, Marion and Elsie Harding, she was preceded in death by three brothers: John Thomas Harding, Joseph Aaron Harding, and James William Harding; three sisters: Earnetta Tolbert, Margie Gordon, and Elsie "Sis" Gordon; and one son, Forrest Robinson, who died in 2001. Survivors include her beloved husband of 43 years, Gene Robinson of Foley; three sons: Justin Robinson and his wife, Donna Lynn, of Foley, Dwayne Robinson and his friend, Cherokee, of Seneca, MO, and Dustin Robinson and his friend, Donna Kay of Foley; three daughters: Tammy Thomas and her husband, Paul, of Neosho, Sarah Robinson of Neosho, and Lisa Swain and her husband, David of Carl Junction, MO; one daughter-in-law, Janice Robinson of Neosho; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She also leaves one brother, Frank Harding, Sr. and his wife, Mabel, of Winfield; six sisters: Virginia Riffle of Elsberry, Eileen Locklin and her husband, Bill, of Troy, MO, Opal Dyer and her husband, Danny, of Moscow Mills, MO, Velma Calvin and her husband, Jim, of Elsberry, Ann Gordon and her husband, Doyle, of Foley, and Edna Nickelson and her husband, Walter, of Winfield; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Saturday, June 19, 2004 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
