Obituary of Linda Wilson

Linda "Cathy" Wilson Funeral services for Linda Catherine "Cathy" Wilson of Elsberry, MO were held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2004 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. Richard Pillars, pastor of the Elsberry Assembly of God Church, officiated with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery in Elsberry. Serving as pallbearers were Denny Burbridge, Yancy Burbridge, Kevin Hailey, Rodney Hailey, Jack Hailey, William Johnson, Ed Horner, and Brad Waggoner. Mrs. Wilson, 53, died Saturday, June 5, 2004 at St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake St. Louis, MO. Born November 22, 1950 in Roswell, NM, she was the daughter of James and Mary B. Jimerson Hailey, II. She was a 1968 graduate of Portageville High School in Portageville, MO. Following high school, she attended Southest Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was employed for a number of years as a laborer for Fred Weber, retiring in May 2004. She was a member of the Laborers Union in St. Louis, MO and the Elsberry Assembly of God Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher. Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her father, James Hailey II. Survivors include one son, Kevin Hailey and his wife, Juliet, of Elsberry; two daughters: Rachael Blankley and her husband, Matt, of St. Peters, MO, and Emily Wilson of Elsberry; and one grandson, Logan Matthew Blankley. She also leaves her mother, Mary Wilson of Elsberry; three brothers: James "Jack" Hailey, III of New Madrid, MO, Rodney Hailey of Pelham, GA, and Kingston Wilson and his wife, Donna, of Elsberry; one sister, Debra Johnson and her husband, William "Fox", of Elsberry; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 7, 2004 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
