Obituary of Jesse Louis Laws

Jesse "Jack" Louis Laws A Mass of Christian Burial for Jesse "Jack" Louis Laws of Foley, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsberry, MO. Fr. Charles Tichacek, church pastor, will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield, MO. Serving as pallbearers will be Travis Fessler, Bob Tumbarello, Dick Tumbarello, Charles DeMoulin, John Caruso and Dan Laws. Mr. Laws, 78, passed away early Monday morning, November 24, 2014 at his home near Foley. Born December 28, 1935 in Perryville, MO, he was the son of Leroy and Corena Ernst Laws. Jack graduated from Soldan High School. He was united in marriage on June 2, 1956 in St. Louis, MO to Rosemary Lorraine Tumbarello. This union was blessed with two children: Michael and Michelle. He worked as the Manager of the Photo Service Division for McDonnell Douglas, retiring in December 1995 after 40 years of employment. He was a former soccer and softball coach. Jack was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsberry, where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Corena Laws; two brothers: Joe and Bob Laws; one sister, Dot Caruso; his son-in-law, Ed Fessler; one brother-in-law, Joe Caruso; and one sister-in-law, Betty Laws. Survivors include his beloved wife of 58 years, Rosemary Laws of Foley; his daughter, Michelle Fessler of Foley; his son, Michael Laws and his wife, Belinda, of O'Fallon, MO; and three grandchildren: Travis Fessler of Foley, Quentin Laws of Kansas and Tiffany Wolf and her husband, Andy, of Moscow Mills, MO. He also leaves other relatives and many, many friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield and again from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Service on Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
