Mildred Christina Bauer A Mass of Christian Burial for Mildred Christina Bauer of Old Monroe, MO, was held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 10, 2004 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church near Old Monroe. Msgr. Gregory Schmidt, pastor of Immaculate Conception Church, officiated with burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery near Old Monroe. Serving as pallbearers were __________________________________________________________________________. Mrs. Bauer, 87, died Saturday morning, May 8, 2004 at Green Park Nursing Home in St. Louis. Born March 30, 1917 in Foristell, MO, she was the seventh of ten children born to William and Mary Gnade Dreisewerd. She was united in marriage on October 5, 1940 in Paducah, KY to Leonard Joseph Bauer. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, the Immaculate Conception Alter Society and the Immaculate Conception Quilters. Mrs. Bauer was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Dreisewerd; three brothers: Edward Peter Dreisewerd, Raymond J. Dreisewerd and Elmer J. Dreisewerd; four sisters: Irene Dreisewerd, Anna Marie Dreisewerd, Flora B. Dreisewerd and Bernadine G. Kaiman; and her beloved husband of 42 years, Leonard Bauer who died October 7, 1982. Survivors include her daughter, Joyce Cortinas and her husband, Rudy, of St. Louis. She also leaves two sisters: Mary Dreisewerd and Margaret Dreisewerd, both of Old Monroe; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 9, 2004 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. A Rosary Service was held at 6:00 p.m. during the visitation at the funeral home.
