Obituary of Bernard Hecker

Bernard John Hecker, Jr. Bernard John Hecker, Jr., 80, of Winfield, MO, died Monday morning, April 5, 2004 at Blanchette Place Care Center in St. Charles, MO. Born May 22, 1923 in Cannon Falls, MN, he was the son of the late Bernard John and Anna Mary Mahoney Hecker. He was united in marriage on December 8, 1939 in St. Louis, MO to Dorothy Gene Hilker. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was employed for a number of years as the owner of Ideal Machine and Tool in Foley, MO. He was a member of the Moolah Shrine in St. Louis and a 50-year member of the Robert Fisher American Legion Post #410 in Foley. Besides his parents, Bernard and Anna Hecker, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dorothy Hecker, who died January 22, 1987. Survivors include two sons: Frederick John Hecker and Brian John Hecker, both of Winfield; two daughters: Patricia Ann Tanselle of Foley, and Jennifer Marie Hoeft and her husband, Richard, of St. Peters, MO; numerous grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchildren. Mr. Hecker was cremated at Memorial Park Crematory in St. Louis, MO. Memorials may be made to the Charity of the Donor's Choice in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 3838 East Highway 47, P.O.
