Obituary of Donna Summers

Donna Sue Summers Funeral services for Donna Sue Summers of Foley, MO were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 9, 2004 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry, MO. Rev. Gary L. Harrelson, pastor of Hopewell Baptist Church, officiated with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery in Elsberry. Mrs. Summers, 57, died Friday morning, February 6, 2004 at her home near Foley. Born October 15, 1946 in Utica, MS, she was the daughter of the late Gaston and Annie Bell Butler Tony. She graduated high school from Tennyson High School in Hayward, CA. She was united in marriage on September 10, 1966 in Hayward, CA to Jimmie La Donn Summers. Mrs. Summers was preceded in death by her father, Gaston Tony; her mother, Annie Bell Andrusky; and her step-father, Frank Andrusky. Survivors include her beloved husband, Jimmie Summers of Foley; one son, Phillip Earl Summers of Peru, IN; one daughter, Rhonda Mae Summer of Foley; and one granddaughter. She also leaves one brother, Frank James Andrusky and his wife, Lorraine, of Hamilton, MT; one sister, Charlene Weathers of Hugo, OK; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday, February 8, 2004 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
