Obituary of Brenda Mae Dietz

Brenda Mae Dietz Funeral Services for Brenda Mae Dietz of Elsberry, MO will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. Jeff Gordan, pastor of the Elsberry Holiness Church, will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be Tony Skirvin, Larry Johnson, Bob Harrison, Scott Ruff, Bill Harrell and Rick Clarkson. Mrs. Dietz, 56, passed away Friday evening, November 14, 2014 at her home near Elsberry. Born December 24, 1957 in St. Charles, MO, she was the daughter of Herman H. and Alice Marie Bryson Meyer. She was united in marriage on July 12, 2003 in Elsberry to Marty Glenn Dietz. Mrs. Dietz was a machine operator for Bodine Aluminum in Troy, MO and enjoyed all outdoor activities, whether it was around the yard or hunting and fishing with Marty. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Curtis Joslyn; and her beloved husband of almost 11 years, Marty Dietz who died June 3, 2014. Survivors include one son, James White of Warrenton, MO; four daughters: Angela Hawkins and her husband, Charles, of St. Charles, Paula Crenshaw of Elsberry, Denise Presley of Elsberry and Crystal Preston, also of Elsberry; one step-daughter, Nikki Herbert and her husband, Josh, of Cottleville, MO; and ten grandchildren. She also leaves one brother, Dennis Meyer of Elsberry; one sister, Tina Riffle and her husband, Kenny, of Elsberry; three brothers-in-law: Allen "Shorty" Siders and his wife, Beverly, of Elsberry, Melvin "Porky" Dietz of Columbia, MO and Ben Dietz of Elsberry; seven sisters-in-law: Joyce Hare of Harrisburg, PA, Linda Clark of Elsberry, Judy Hoerrman and her husband, Bob, of Kirksville, MO, Donna Dryden of Elsberry, Vicki Sanderson and her husband, Ron, of Bloomsdale, MO, Connie Wallace and her husband, Robert, of Foley, MO and Betty Reed and her husband, Bob, of Louisiana, MO; several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
