Obituary of Jeanette Sherrow

Lois Jeanette Sherrow Funeral services for Lois Jeanette Sherrow of Elsberry, MO were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2004 at Annada Community Christian Church in Annada, MO. Rev. Bob Norvel, church pastor, officiated with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery in Elsberry. Serving as pallbearers were Wade Sherrow, Tony Sherrow, Kip Sherrow, Matt Liley, Howard Martin, Frank Henke, Drew Sherrow, Jamie Sherrow and Jeremy Lewis. Mrs. Sherrow, 76, died Sunday afternoon, January 18, 2004 at St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake St. Louis, MO. Born October 16, 1927 in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Lela Buttery Johnson. She was united in marriage on June 29, 1944 in Mexico, MO to Glenwood Albert Sherrow. She was a member of the Annada Community Christian Church in Annada. Besides her parents, Howard and Lela Johnson, welcoming her home are two brothers: Robert Johnson and Gene Johnson; one niece, Julie Tappe; one grandson, Benjamin Sherrow, who died in 2001; and one son, Gene "Sonny" Sherrow, who died June 24, 1998. Mourning her passing include her beloved husband of 59 years, Glenwood Sherrow of Elsberry; two sons: Randy Sherrow and his wife, Linda, of Elsberry, and Jody Sherrow of Elsberry; one daughter: Susan Liley and her husband, Bob, of DeSoto, MO; one daughter-in-law: Mary Sue Sherrow of Elsberry; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also leaves four brothers: Winford Johnson and his wife, Mardell, of Knoxville, IA, Ken Johnson of St. Charles, MO, Tony Johnson of St. Louis, MO, and Ron Johnson and his wife, Sharon, of Plainsville, IL; one sister, Shirley Martin and her husband, Bill, of Warrenton, MO; one sister-in-law, Peggy Johnson of O'Fallon, MO; a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Visitation was held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
