Blanche "Grandma B" M. Wilke A Mass of Christian burial for Blanche "Grandma B" Mary Wilke of Old Monroe, MO was held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church near Old Monroe. Father Gregory Schmidt, church pastor, officiated with burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery near Old Monroe. Mrs. Wilke, 95, died Saturday, January 17, 2004 at Lincoln County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Troy, MO. Born November 7, 1908 in Old Monroe, she was the daughter of Frank C. and Mary Bals Pieper. She was united in marriage on November 18, 1929 in Old Monroe to Clarence William Wilke. She was a member of the Ladies Sodality and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church near Old Monroe. Besides her parents, Frank and Mary Pieper, she was preceded in death by two brothers: George Pieper and Clem Pieper; three sisters: Grace Pieper, Eleanor Mensie, and Rose Johannesmann; and her beloved husband, Clarence Wilke, who died November 3, 1971. Survivors include one daughter, Carol Brinkman and her husband, Donald, of Old Monroe; two grandchildren: Beverly Spath and her husband, Dale, of O'Fallon, MO, and Barry Brinkman and his wife, Mindy, of Old Monroe; and ten great-grandchildren: Andrew, Benjamin, Ryan, and Tyler Brinkman, and Jaime, Emily, Danielle, Brian, Shannon, and Chris Spath. She also leaves three brothers: Norman "Red" Pieper and his wife, Mary Ann, of Old Monroe, James Pieper and his wife, Joan, of Old Monroe, and Leonard Pieper and his wife, Jane, of Troy, MO; one sister, Madeline Kelly of Old Monroe; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 3:30- 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2004 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
