Obituary of Bernita Pflasterer

Bernita Joan Pflasterer Funeral services for Bernita Joan Pflasterer of Elsberry, MO were held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 12, 2004 at Elsberry United Methodist Church in Elsberry. Rev. Michael Lockhart, church pastor, officiated with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery in Elsberry. Serving as pallbearers were Kyle Rimel, Dave Pflasterer, Larry Dillow, Russ Pflasterer, Ryan Pflasterer, and Bob Suddarth; honorary pallbearer was Pokey Hill Mrs. Pflasterer, 61, died early Saturday morning, January 10, 2004 at her home in Elsberry. Born May 28, 1942 in Vinita, OK, she was the daughter of Tommy and Marcella Williamson Willbanks. She was united in marriage on August 13, 1966 in Elsberry to Wayne Allen Pflasterer. She was employed for many years as the bookkeeper for LaCrosse Lumber in Elsberry. She was a member of the Elsberry United Methodist Church in Elsberry. Mrs. Pflasterer was preceded in death by her father, Tommy Pflasterer. Survivors include her beloved husband of 37 years, Wayne Pflasterer of Elsberry; one son, Greg Pflasterer and his wife, Kelly, of Elsberry; two daughters: Karla Rimel and her husband, Kyle, and Krissy Pflasterer, all of Elsberry; four grandchildren: Karrah Melton, Emma Pflasterer, Zachary Rimel, and Jacob Rimel. She also leaves her mother, Marcella Willbanks of Williford, AR; one brother, Conrad Willbanks of Midway City, CA; one sister, Bonnie Dillow and her husband, Larry, of Bonne Terre, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday, January 11, 2003 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
