Obituary of Etta Worley

Etta Eugenia "Jean" Worley Visitation for Etta Eugenia "Jean" Worley of Scottsdale, AZ, formerly of Elsberry, MO will be held from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 2003 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Interment of the cremated remains will be in Elsberry City Cemetery in Elsberry. Mrs. Worley, 81, died Saturday, November 8, 2003 in Scottsdale, AZ. Born May 7, 1922 in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of Dr. Cecil W. and Melba Mayes Powell. She was a 1940 graduate of Elsberry High School. Besides her parents, Dr. Cecil and Melba Powell, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Margaret Jean Worley, who died November 15, 1960. Survivors include one son: John P. Worley of Venice, CA; three daughters: Susan M. Simmons of Scottsdale, AZ, Elizabeth Crawford of Portland, OR, and Kathryn W. Eggering and her husband, Luke, of Maryville, IL; and seven grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or the American Lung Association in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 South Fifth Street, Elsberry, MO 63343.
