Obituary of Terry Lee Hardin

Terry Lee Hardin Funeral Services for Terry Lee Hardin of Winfield, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 7, 2014 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Rev. Michael Kasevich, pastor of St. Paul UCC will officiate with burial in Winfield Cemetery. Mr. Hardin, 70, passed away early Tuesday morning, November 4, 2014 at his home in Winfield. Born May 15, 1944 in Memphis, TN, he was the son of Walter M. Hardin and Mary Travis Brown Hardin. Terry was a 1962 graduate of Winfield High School. He served his country in the United States Air Force from January 21, 1963 until he was honorably discharged on January 20, 1967 as an E-4. He was united in marriage on April 13, 1974 in Troy, MO to Mary Lee Bonney. To this union three sons were born: Kenneth C., Daniel D., and Darren L. He worked at Monsanto/MEMC, retiring in 1997 after 30 years. He later worked as a lead operator at Daddy Ray's in Moscow Mills, MO and retired again May, 2006. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Hardin; one son, Darren Hardin; his brother-in-law, Bernie Tippit; and two nephews: Tony and Travis Tippit. Survivors include his beloved wife of 40 years, Mary Hardin of Winfield; two sons: Kenneth Brown of Spring Town, TX and Daniel Brown and his wife, Angie, of Hannibal, MO; one daughter, Brittany Hardin of Winfield; two grandchildren: Kimberly Fitzsimmons and her husband, Derick, of Winfield, MO and Kassandra Brown, of Elsberry, MO; and one great-grandaughter, Jillian Fitzsimmons. He also leaves his mother, Mary T. James of Hannibal; two sisters: Linda Sue Tippit of Winfield and Mary Ann Adkison and her husband, Mark, of Hannibal; one daughter-in-law, Crystal Denise Brown; Kenny's companion, Heather Skidmore; other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 7, 2014 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
