Obituary of Milton Reed

Milton Edward Reed Funeral services for Milton Edward Reed of Elsberry, MO were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2003 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. Kenneth Wells of Troy, MO, officiated with burial in Star Hope Cemetery near Elsberry. Serving as pallbearers were Carl Knox, Randy Norton, Danny Reed, David Seal, Sidney Baker, and Roger Summers. Mr. Reed, 52, died Sunday evening October 19, 2003 at his home near Elsberry. Born September 20, 1951 in St. Charles, MO, he was the son of Homer Louis and Ida Edna Summers Reed. He was a graduate of Elsberry High School. He was employed throughout his life as a laborer. Mr. Reed was preceded in death by his father, Homer Louis Reed, who died May 28, 2003. Survivors include two daughters: Marsha Anne Reed of New London, MO, and Julie Renee Noah of Eolia, MO; and three grandchildren. He also leaves his mother, Edna Reed of Elsberry; two brothers: Louis Robert Reed and his companion, Dorothy, and Michael Eugene Reed and his wife, Debbie, all of Elsberry; his companion, Pat Stetler of Elsberry; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 21, 2003 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
