Floreen Overall A Celebration of Life for May Floreen Overall of Winfield, MO was held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2003 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield. Rev. Louis Hunt, pastor of Sulphur Lick Baptist Church, officiated with interment in Asbury Cemetery near Foley, MO. Serving as pallbearers were Jason Windle, Chad Windle, Ronnie Evans, Callie Ruckel, Sr., Donnie Ruckel, and Wally Klippel. Mrs. Overall, 73, left this life on Saturday, September 6, 2003 at Lincoln County Nursing and Rehab. in Troy, MO to reunite with her parents and other loved ones in heaven with God. Born March 20, 1930 in Alica, AR, she was the daughter of Orville and Maggie Smith Parkus. She was united in marriage on April 6, 1946 in Walnut Ridge, AR, to William "Bill" Winfield Windle. Floreen and Bill moved their family to St. Charles, MO in 1953 for a better life. They lived on Main Street where they raised their three children. Floreen worked at "The City Club" in St. Charles for many years. In 1970 she moved to Winfield, MO. She was united in marriage again in October 1975 in Winfield to Floyd Overall. Floreen's favorite past time was gardening, canning, and cooking for her family and friends. She made the best biscuits and fried chicken. She would never let you leave without giving you a big hug. She enjoyed long country rides with her grandchildren. Floreen made lots of new friends at Lincoln County Nursing and Rehab where she had lived for the past year. Besides her parents, she will reunite in heaven with four grandchildren: Anthony Wayne Murray, Wayne Nash Murray, Calvin Murray, and Michael Windle; her first husband, Bill Windle; and her second husband, Floyd Overall. Floreen's presence here on earth will be missed by her children: William E. Windle and his wife, Wanda, of Winfield, Willie Windle and his wife, Judy, of Winfield, and Peggy Gutshall and her husband, Seal, of Boise, ID; fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. She also leaves two brothers: Cletus Parkus and his wife, Ida, of St. Charles, MO, and John Parkus and his wife, Shirley, of Elsberry, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday, September 9, 2003 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
