Obituary of Ronald Dean Goad
Funeral Services for Ronald Dean Goad, Sr. of Foley, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. J. Larry Carter of Carter-Ricks Funeral Homes will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield. Serving as pallbearers will be Donna Kay White, Ronald "Ronnie" Goad, Jr., Roger Cook, Jamie Hyde, Jacob Haffner, William Taylor, Terry Coleman and Joey Grabenhorst.
Mr. Goad, 57, passed away Saturday evening, October 25, 2014 after his battle with brain cancer. Born February 11, 1957 in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of Everett Charles and Myrtle A. Cook Goad. In is early years, Ron worked as a forklift driver for G.W. Fiberglass in Lake St. Louis, MO. He was married on April 5, 1975 in Antonia, MO to Pamela Lynne Hukel. He worked as a mechanic in his father's auto repair near Foley. MO. After his father passed away, Ron established Ron's Auto Repair near Foley, where he operated for over 20 years. Ron later met Betty Grabenhorst, with whom he shared 20 wonderful years together. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, working on cars and playing horseshoes. Ron loved the time he shared with his children and grandchildren, who knew him as "Papa Two Hair".
He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett Goad and Myrtle Goad; his stepmother, Dorothy A. Goad; a niece, Crystal Cagle and his companion, Betty Grabenhorst.
Survivors include his children: Donna Kay White of Foley and Ronald "Ronnie" Goad, Jr. and his wife, Misty, of Foley; and six grandchildren: Kayla White, Dezaray Robinson, Jacob Haffner, Angel Knox, Stacie Goad and Roni Goad. He also leaves his brother, Charles L. Goad and his wife, Kristy, of Imperial, MO; his sister, Diane Robbins and her husband, Aaron of Benld, IL; step-siblings: Donna Edwards and her husband, Leroy of Warrenton, MO, John Cagle and his wife, Yvonne, of Silex, MO and Dwain Cagle of Troy, MO; Betty's children: Paula Taylor and her companion, Kevin Thomas of Foley, Pamela Grabenhorst of Warrenton, MO, Joey Grabenhorst of Foley and Ashley Grabenhorst, also of Foley. Ron was an adopted father to Jamie Hyde of Foley; an adopted grandfather to William Taylor, Hailey Taylor and Cody Taylor.
