Obituary of Mary Braband

MARY BLOSSOM BRABAND Funeral services for Mary Blossom Braband of Foley, MO were held at 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening, July 27, 2003 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Rev. Gary Robnett, pastor of the Highland View Baptist Church in St. Charles, MO, officiated. A Graveside Service was held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 28, 2003 with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery in Bridgeton, MO. Serving as pallbearers were her grandchildren. Mrs. Braband, 82, died early Saturday morning, July 26, 2003 at the Lincoln County Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Troy, MO. Born December 30, 1920 in Painton, MO, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ida Dosset Neeley. She was united in marriage on October 14, 1945 in Festus, MO to William Frederick Braband. She was employed as a housekeeper at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis for many years, retiring December 31, 1985. She was a member of the Winfield-Foley VFW Auxiliary. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Chesley Neeley, Rex Neeley and Claude Neeley; six sisters: Ollie Neeley, Ruby Moak, Lottie Herron, Nettie Welch, Jessie Mae Haverstiek, and Maude Darling; and her beloved husband of almost 17 years, Bill Braband who died August 12, 1962. Survivors include three sons: Bill Neeley and his wife, Charlotte, of Foley, Charles Braband of Troy, and Mike Braband and his wife, Louise, also of Troy; one daughter, Donna Pendegraft and her husband, Bob, of Winfield; sixteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She also leaves one brother, Leo Neeley and his wife, Dora, of Vienna, IL; several nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 27, 2003 until time of the service at 8:00 p.m. at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
