Obituary of Carol M. Piel

Carol M. Piel Funeral Services for Carol M. Piel of Old Monroe, MO will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Rev. Mike Ryan, pastor of Winfield First Baptist Church, will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield. Mrs. Piel, 67, passed away Wednesday morning, October 22, 2014 at her home. Born December 21, 1946 in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of Robert Cecil and Virginia Vette Wiley. Carol was united in marriage on June 10, 1991 in Montrose, CO to George C. Piel. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Virginia Wiley; and her son, Troy Anthony "Tony" Price, who died December 6, 2003. Survivors include her beloved husband of 23 years, George Piel of Old Monroe; one daughter, Dawn Johnson of Wentzville, MO; two sons: Jeffrey Moomey of Potosi, MO and Brian Moomey of O'Fallon, MO; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Carol also leaves three sisters: Lorry Watson of St. Louis, Bonnie Schulte and her husband, Ray, of the Lake of the Ozarks and Kelly Baykowski of St. Louis; two brothers: Keith Wiley and his wife, Patty, of St. Louis and Michael Wiley of St. Louis; several nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
