Obituary of Betty Smith

Betty Jane Smith Memorial services for Betty Jane Smith of Elsberry, MO were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2003 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry, MO. Mrs. Smith, 65, died Friday afternoon, June 20, 2003 at Lincoln County Medical Center in Troy, MO. Born August 28, 1937 in Ironton, MO, she was the daughter of Monroe and Ida Belle King Sullivan. She was employed for a number of years as a laborer for a glass manufacturer. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers: Tom Sullivan, Willie Sullivan, Jess Sullivan, and Jim Sullivan; and three sisters: Sarah Croney, Mary Childs, and Vernie Leach. Survivors include two sons: Donald King and his wife, Anita, of Elsberry, and David King and his wife, Judy, of Foley, MO; six grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
