Obituary of Alice Mary Pudiwitr

Mrs. Alice Mary Pudiwitr, 89, passed away quietly Thursday night, October 16, 2014 at her home in Winfield, MO. Born November 17, 1924 in St. Louis, MO she was the daughter of John and Silvia Grote Tow. She was united in marriage on April 21, 1956 in St. Charles, MO to Walter Clarence Pudiwitr. This union was blessed with two sons: Walter, Jr. and Scott. Alice loved animals and worked her small farm most of her life. She enjoyed fishing, garage sales and traveling to California and Vegas with her husband, Walter. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Silvia Tow; five brothers: Willard, John, Herb, James and George Tow; one sister, Silvia Treadway; and her beloved husband of 41 years, Walter C. Pudiwitr, Sr., who died December 2, 1997. Survivors include her sons: Walter Pudiwitr, Jr. and his wife, Lois, of Winfield and Scott Pudiwitr and his wife, Anna, of Troy, MO; and 5 grandchildren: Allison, Walter and Harrison Pudiwitr of Winfield and Danielle and Jacob Pudiwitr of Troy, MO. She also leaves three sisters: Helen Gibson of St. Louis, Doris Tow also of St. Louis and JoAnn Tow of California; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield. Interment will be private for the Pudiwitr family on Monday.
