Obituary of Rachel Marie Arbogast

Funeral Services for Rachel Marie Arbogast of Troy, MO, formerly of Foley, MO, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2014 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. J. Larry Carter, will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield. Serving as pallbearers will be her family. Mrs. Arbogast, 74, passed away early Monday morning, March 3, 2014 at Troy Manor in Troy. Born January 23, 1940 in Mineral Point, MO, she was the daughter of Oscar and Ethel Mae Williams LaChance. She was united in marriage on January 15, 1972 in St. Louis, MO to Elmo Frankie Arbogast. Their home was blessed with five children: Roxy, Robert, James, Mark and Mike. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Ethel LaChance; two brothers, Charles and James LaChance; two sisters, Evelyn Coleman and Rosalee Johnson; one son, Jimmy Boshers; and her beloved husband of 31 years, Elmo Arbogast, who died August 6, 2003. Survivors include one daughter, Roxy Finnegan of Foley; three sons: Robert "Bob" Boshers and his wife, Pam, of Salem, IL, Mark Arbogast and his wife, Crystal, of Troy and Mike Arbogast and his wife, Cindy, of Riverview, MO; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She also leaves one daughter-in-law, Carla Boshers of Warrenton, MO; one brother, Oscar LeRoy LaChance and his wife, Donna, of Desoto, MO; one sister, Bertha McKinney and her husband, Nile, of Desoto; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. , Friday, March 7, 2014 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
