Obituary of Carol Ann Mills

Carol Ann Mills Funeral Services for Carol Ann Mills of Elsberry, MO, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Elsberry First Baptist Church in Elsberry. Rev. David Rubemeyer, church pastor, will officiate with burial in the Elsberry City Cemetery in Elsberry. Carol, 53, passed away peacefully with her children and siblings at her side Wednesday night, December 14, 2011 at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Born January 2, 1958 in Louisiana, MO, she was the daughter of John Robert and Lelia Belle McAfee Riffle. Carol managed the kitchen at Stu's Countryside Deli for many years. She owned and operated Fever Marine Restaurant in Elsberry from 2005-2008. For the past three years she was employed as the dietary supervisor for the Elsberry Health Care Center in Elsberry. She was a member of the Elsberry First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lelia Riffle; and one brother, Robert Fielder. Survivors include two daughters: Shelly Ligon and her husband, Mike, of Elsberry and Nicki Turner of St. Peters, MO; one son, Josh Turner and his wife, Rachel, of Elsberry; and four grandchildren: Michael and Kade Ligon and Eli and Reese Turner. She also leaves three brothers: Mike Riffle and his wife, Sheree, of Moscow Mills, MO, Gilbert Riffle and his wife, Cindy, of Elsberry, and Larry Riffle of Troy, MO; two sisters: Mary Robinson and her husband, Bob, of Lake Ozark, MO, and Kathy Morgan of Elsberry; one sister-in-law, Diane Fielder of Troy; several cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2011 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
