Obituary of Joann Tourville

JoAnn Tourville Funeral Services for JoAnn Tourville of Winfield, MO, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2011 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield. Rev. John Ryan of Summitt Community Church in O'Fallon, MO will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery in Winfield. Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Beckemeyer, Donnie Tourville, Earon Tourville, Joshua Rollins, Thomas Ette and John Rollins. Mrs. Tourville, 78, passed away Tuesday evening, October 11, 2011 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Peters, MO. Born September 17, 1933 in Lavinia, TN, she was the daughter of Earon and Lucille Kirk Barnes. She was a 1950 graduate of Spring Creek High School in Spring Creek, TN. She was united in marriage in 1960 in St. Louis, MO to Floyd Tourville. JoAnn was blessed with six children: Ronnie, Cindy, Cathy, Johnie, Michael and Dennis. She was a housewife and known as "Granny" to many in the community. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earon and Lucille Barnes and her beloved husband of 39 years, Floyd Tourville who died March 22, 1999. She is also preceded in death by one sister, Pauline Boles; four brothers: B.L. Barnes, Bobbie Barnes, Travis barnes and Billy Barnes; and two grandchildren: Louise and Timmy Tourville. Survivors include two daughters: Cindy Moore of Belleville, IL and Cathy Beckemeyer and her husband, Ken, of Houston, TX; four sons: Ronnie Tourville and his wife, Pat, of Winfield, Johnie Rollins and his wife, Dee, of Pevely, MO, Michael Tourville and his wife, Paige, of Wentzville, MO and Dennis Tourville of Winfield; sixteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by one sister, Martha Hewell and her husband, Bill, of Jackson, TN; three brothers: Earon Barnes, Jr. of St. Louis, MO, Robbie Barnes and his wife, Patrice, of Pensacola, FL and Larry Barnes and his wife, Janice, of Jackson, TN; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
