Obituary of Charles Leroy Creech

Charles Leroy Creech Visitation for Charles Leroy Creech of Moscow Mills, MO will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 15, 2011 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. A private inurnment will be held at a later date. Mr. Creech, 72, passed away Saturday afternoon, August 13, 2011 at the Lincoln County Nursing and Rehab Center in Troy, MO. Born January 4, 1939 on the family homestead in Brussels, MO, he was the son of William Luther and Bunna Taylor Creech. He was married to Janet Fay Presley for many years and this union was blessed with three children, Duaine, Janie and Ellen. He was employed for 42 years as a machinist and tool & die maker at McDonnell Douglas aircraft manufacturer in St. Louis, retiring June 30, 1999. He was a member of the Machinists Union in St. Louis. He owned and operated a dump truck and farmed in southern Lincoln County. He was a member of the New Salem Baptist Church near Winfield. He was preceded in death by Janet Creech; his parents, William and Bunna Creech; one son, Charles Duaine Creech in 2002; one grandson, Dale Cody in 1978; five brothers: Harry, Earl, Lawrence, Jamie and Kenny Creech; and one sister, Lucille Lavy. He is survived by two daughters: Janie Cody and her husband, Richard, of New London, MO, and Ellen Creech of Troy; eight grandchildren Cheryl (Tim) Reindl of Loami, IL, Mark (Megan) Cody of Higbee, MO, Dawn (Jon) Farmer of Kentucky, Darlene Creech of Hawk Point, MO, Donald "Buddy" Creech of Troy, Danielle Stahlschmidt, Dana Bartels and William Creech, all of Wright City, MO; and numerous great-grandchildren. He also leaves a special friend, Diane Schulte of Troy; one brother Ray Eldon Creech and his wife, Barbara, of Winfield; one sister, Leora Rayfield and her husband, Joe, of St. Louis; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
