Obituary of Sherri Jane Wood

Sherri Jane Wood A Celebration of Life for Sherri Jane Wood of Elsberry, MO was held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 14, 2011 at the First Christian Church in Elsberry. Rev. Tom Schofield, church pastor, will officiate. A private inurnment will be held in Elsberry City Cemetery at a later time. Per Sherri's long standing wishes, she will be cremated and will be buried on her parents' graves. Born August 31, 1960 in Troy, MO she was the daughter of John Edward and Elizabeth "Betty" Jane Milson Wood. A lifelong resident of the Elsberry community, she was a 1979 graduate of Elsberry High School. She had been employed at Casey's General Store in Elsberry. Sherri was a member of the Elsberry First Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Betty Wood. She is survived by two uncles, Greg Bufford and his wife, Delores, and James T. "Duke" Bufford and his wife, Bonnie, all of Elsberry; and her aunt, Edith Williamson of Winfield, MO. She also leaves several other relatives and many friends. Visitation was held from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service Sunday at the First Christian Church in Elsberry.
