Travis Tippit Funeral Services for Travis Tippit of Winfield, MO, will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield, MO. Rev. Tim Goodman of Clover Road Christian Church in Hannibal, MO will officiate. Mr. Tippit, 41, passed away Friday, July 29,2011 in St Charles County, MO. Born March 26, 1970 in St. Louis, MO he was the son of Bernie and Sue Hardin Tippit. He was employed as a laborer in the construction field. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his father, Bernie Tippit, who died January 9, 2004 and his brother, Tony Tippit, who died October 8, 2000. Survivors include his mother, Sue Tippit of Winfield; his son, Tyler Bernard Lee Tippit of Winfield; his maternal grandmother, Mary James of Hannibal; four aunts: Rita Gifford of Old Monroe, MO; Norma Rogers and her husband, Ronald, of Winfield; Diane Boaz of Troy, MO and Mary Adkison and her husband, Mark, of Hannibal; three uncles: Allan Tippit and his wife, Glenda, of Tennessee; Bill Tippit and his wife, Juel, of Portland, Oregon and Terry Hardin and his wife, Mary, of Winfield; other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
