Obituary of Nettie Beatrice Day

Nettie Beatrice "Bea" Day Funeral Services for Nettie Beatrice "Bea" Day of Foley, MO, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield, MO. Rev. Lewis Hunt will officiate with burial in New Salem Cemetery in Winfield. Mrs. Day, 97, died Monday evening, July 18, 2011 at the Elsberry Health Care Center in Elsberry, MO. Born September 22, 1913 in Winfield, she was the daughter of Henry Eugene and Minnie Lee Shields Terrell. She was united in marriage on March 7, 1931 in Troy, MO to Albert Nathaniel Day. This union was blessed with one daughter, Doris. Mrs. Day worked for many years as a seamstress. She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church. She was also a member of various Extension clubs. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Minnie Terrell; one brother, Glen Terrell; one sister, Natalie Peters; and her beloved husband of 68 years, Albert Day, who died April 30, 1999. Survivors include one daughter, Doris Cimaglia and her husband, Dean, of St. Louis, MO; three grandchildren: Denise Lincoln and her husband, Doug, of Cape Girardeau, MO; David Cimaglia and Daryl Cimaglia, both of St. Louis. She also leaves two great-grandchildren: Dane Lincoln and his wife, Amanda, and Drew Lincoln; two great great-grandchildren: Nathaniel Anthony Lincoln and Samuel Joseph; one sister, Leona Lucido; one niece, several nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
