Obituary of Donald Lee Hagan

Donald Lee Hagan Funeral services and Military Honors for Donald Lee Hagan of Winfield, MO will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Inurnment will be in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield, MO. Mr. Hagan, 81, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Lincoln County Nursing & Rehab Center in Troy, MO. Born September 6, 1929 in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of Zella Hagan. He was united in marriage on May 6, 1950 in Clayton, MO to Melba Ann Smith. He served his country during the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged March 19, 1953. He was employed for over 25 years as a heavy equipment operator for the Lincoln County Highway Department. He was preceded in death by his mother, Zella E. Geitz in 1997; and his beloved wife of 38 years, Melba Ann Hagan, who died July 18, 1988. Survivors include several cousins and many friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until time of the service of Military Honors at 7:00 p.m. at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
