Obituary of Elizabeth Jane Ell

Elizabeth Jane Ell A mass of Christian Burial for Elizabeth Jane Ell of Foley, MO will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church near Old Monroe, MO. Father Phil Krahman, church pastor, will officiate with burial in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery near Old Monroe. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Ell, 71, passed away Saturday morning, July 9, 2011 at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles, MO. Born August 29, 1939 in Harris County, TX, she was the daughter of Charles Frederick and Kathryn Hall Wood. She was united in marriage on September 1, 1956 in Cottleville, MO to Gerald Louis Ell. This union was blessed with four children: Nancy, Gerald, James and Jeffrey. She was employed for fifteen years as a bus driver for Ryder Student Transportation and was assigned to the Fort Zumwalt School District. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church near Old Monroe. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Kathryn Wood; one sister, Carolyn Cannella; and her beloved husband of 51 years, Gerald Ell, Sr. who died April 20, 2008. Survivors include her children: Nancy Kleinheider and her husband, Michael, of Foley, Gerald Ell, Jr. of St. Peters, MO, James Ell and his wife, Diane, of Foley, and Jeffrey Ell also of Foley; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She also leaves several in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 11, 2011 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO.
