Obituary of James Alloys Hoelting

James Alloys Hoelting A mass of Christian Burial for James Alloys Hoelting of Old Monroe, MO, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2011 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Old Monroe, MO. Fr. Philip Kraham, church pastor, will officiate with burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Old Monroe. Serving as pallbearers will be Nick Hoelting, Adam Hoelting, Aaron Aubuchon, Glen Harke, Ralph Vogelgesang, and Kevin Hoelting. Mr. Hoelting, 84, passed away Wednesday evening, June 29, 2011 at Parklane Center in Wentzville, MO. Born July 17, 1926 in Old Monroe, he was the son of George John and Rose Ann Burkemper Hoelting. He served his country during World War II in the United States Army and was honorably discharged May 18, 1946 as a private. He was united in marriage on May 7, 1960 in Old Monroe to Mary Ann Wehde. This union was blessed with five children: Phil, Maureen, Jerry, Wayne, and Christine. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Old Monroe and the Old Monroe Gun Club. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #420. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Rose Hoelting; one son, Wayne Hoelting; four sisters: Gen Stork, Elsie Heitman, Rosalind Harke, and Connie Bine; five brothers: Hubert, Albert, Ralph, Arthur, and George Hoelting; and his beloved wife of almost 50 years, Mary Ann Hoelting who died February 15, 2010. Survivors include two sons: Phil Hoelting and his wife, Carol, of Moscow Mills, MO, and Jerry Hoelting of Old Monroe; two daughters: Maureen Aubuchon of Old Monroe, and Christine Hoelting of Troy; and seven grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Vernon Hoelting and his wife, Jackie, of St. Peters, MO; two sisters: Delores Ell of St. Peters and Arvilla Grote of Wentzville; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2010 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
