Obituary of Glendon Keith Pingleton

Glendon Keith Pingleton Glendon Keith Pingleton, 75, passed away Saturday afternoon, June 25, 2011 at his home near Moscow Mills. Born December 30, 1935 in Alton, MO, he was the son of Leland Hubert and Nora May Barton Pingleton. He was united in marriage on April 23, 1975 in Camdenton, MO to Betty Jane Burk. They made their home in St. Charles, MO. He was employed a many years as a general foreman for McDonnel-Douglas (now Boeing) Aircraft Manufacturing in St. Louis, MO, retiring in 1991. Following his retirement, Keith and Betty moved to Lebanon, MO where they lived until last fall when they decided to move closer to family in Lincoln County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leland and Nora May Pingleton; three brothers: Loren Harold Pingleton, Curtis Edward Pingleton and Larry Wade Pingleton who was stillborn. Survivors include his beloved wife of 36 years, Betty Pingleton of Moscow Mills; one son: Kevin Keith Pingleton and his wife, Sandi, of St. Peters, MO; three daughters: Patricia Ann Settles and her husband, Mick, of St. Charles, MO, Debra Jean Douglas of Elsberry, and Michelle Lynn Creech of Troy, MO; two step-sons: Daniel Edward Haggan and his wife, Shirley of Orlando, FL, and Roger Lewis Haggan of Winfield; and ten grandchildren, eight step- grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren. He also leaves two brothers: Carl Laverne Pingleton of St. Paul, MO, and Gary Wayne Pingleton and his wife, Betty, of Carlyneville, IL; one sister, Brenda LaDon Bennett and her husband, Phillip, of Hardy, AR; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Arrangements have been entrusted to Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield. Private inurnment for Glendon Keith Pingleton will be in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield, MO.
