Obituary of Lorraine Jeanette Stobart

Lorraine Jeanette Stobart A mass of Christian Burial for Lorraine Jeanette Stobart of Winfield, MO, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Old Monroe, MO. Msgr. Gregory Schmidt, church pastor, will officiate with burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Old Monroe. Serving as pallbearers will be Travis Callaway, Jeremy Stobart, Justin Stobart, Josh Stobart, Matthew Stobart, and Kevin Stobart. Mrs. Stobart, 67, passed away late Monday night, May 9, 2011 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Born December 17, 1943 in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Lawrence Joseph and Virginia Margaret Schramm Wolk. She was united in marriage on April 8, 1961 in St. Louis to Alfred Brian Stobart, Sr. This union was blessed with four children: Theresa, Alfred Jr., Larry, and Michelle. She worked for many years as a convenience store manager for Thoele Oil. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. She enjoyed Nascar Racing and going to the casino. She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Wolk; one sister, Barbara Stuckmeyer; and her beloved husband of 41 years, Alfred Stobart, Sr. Survivors include her mother, Virginia Wolk of Silex, MO; two sons: Alfred Brian Stobart, Jr. and his wife, Donna of Irondale, MO, Larry Stobart and his wife, Tracey of St Charles, MO; two daughters: Theresa Callaway and her husband, Bruce of Winfield, and Michelle Fozzard and her husband Michael of Winfield; eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She also leaves a sister, Virginia Brooks and her husband James of Palatka, FL; a brother-in-law, Ralph Stobart of Charleston, SC; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
