Obituary of Carol Ann Beeghly

Carol Ann Beeghly Funeral services for Carol Ann Beeghly of Elsberry, MO will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at the Elsberry United Methodist Church. Rev. Paul Garven, church pastor, will officiate, with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Ben Houston, Dale Hammontree, Gil Dameron, Bill Halley, Scott Beeghly, Chris Beeghly, Larry Beeghly and Max Rockwell. Honorary pallbearers will be Winston Bailey, Wally Luker and Frank Teasley. Mrs. Beeghly, 70, passed away Saturday evening, March 26, 2011 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Peters, MO. Born June 4, 1940 in Tiltonsville, OH she was the daughter of George and Mary Macmillan Boley. She served her country in the United States Navy as a journalist stationed in Norfolk, VA. She was united in marriage on March 16, 1961 in Norfolk, VA to Merlin Dale Beeghly. This union was blessed with two children: Christopher and Connita. She worked for many years as a claims processor. She was a member of the Elsberry United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Jesse Black Club in Elsberry. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching and doing puzzles. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Boley; and one brother, David Boley. Survivors include her beloved husband of 49 years, Merlin Dale Beeghly of Elsberry; her son, Christopher O'Dell Beeghly and his wife, Courtney Lynn, of Bowling Green, MO; her daughter, Connita Dawn Butler of Bowling Green; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She also leaves three sisters: Claris Daniels, Margaret Boley and Jannette Robinson; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 South Fifth Street, Elsberry, MO 63343.
