Uncle Pud, I always admired you for your wisdom. I learned alot from you even though I never saw you that much. You always prayed at dinner during family get togethers which I have been trying to do as I have gotten older. Our hunting was special even when you got on to me once for bragging how many quail I shot one day. I payed attention to that. I'm sorry I wasn't there physically at your funeral but I was there mentally. We will see each other soon one day I'm sure. Knowing you made me a better person, you made alot of people better for what I understand. Thanks Uncle Pud for being part of my life.

I saw Mr. Bacon's obit in the Post Dispatch this weekend. I am very sorry for your loss. I want you to know that I have many many wonderful memories of your family growing up on Ashby. I especially remember how Mr. Bacon was always so patient. He never was to busy to let me come over and tinker with him on whatever project he was working on. I can still see him walking down Ashby in his business suit. Kobalts swimming. Roaring River camping, the list just goes on and on. I hope that I have been a nice person to some child along the way just like Mr. and Mrs. Bacon were to me.

Dear Dorothy and Family,
Our sincere sympathy to your family at this sad time. Devoid was one of the finest examples of a true Christian and was greatly admired by most of the people that knew him. Dad and I always enjoyed our chats with Devoid and Dot when we happened to see them in the IGA store. May you find peace in knowing that he is now with our Lord.
