Obituary of Ronnie Mayo Lovell

Ronnie Mayo Lovell Memorial Services for Ronnie Mayo Lovell of Elsberry, MO will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. Bob Norvel, pastor of the Annada Community Christian Church, will officiate. Mr. Lovell, 69, passed away Friday evening, September 5, 2014 following a motor vehicle accident north of Foley, MO. Born August 25, 1945 on a Naval base in Northfolk, VA, he was the son of Mayo and Martha Tegethoff Lovell. Ronnie was a liquor truck driver for Teamsters Local #610 for many years before joining Floor Layers Local #1310 where he worked for 40 years before his retirement in 2007. He was united in marriage on September 25, 1992 in Troy, MO to Jo Anna Pizzo Pott. Ronnie enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mayo and Martha Lovell; two brothers: Jack and James Lovell; one sister, Martha Ann Schmidt; and his beloved wife of nearly 20 years, Jo Anna Lovell, who died March 31, 2012. Survivors include one son, Mike Lovell of O'Fallon, MO; one daughter, Kym Lovell Haller, also of O'Fallon; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He also leaves two step-sons: Joe Pott and his wife, Donna, of Elsberry and Michael Pott of Wright City, MO; one step-daughter, Lisa Spies of Elsberry; three brothers: Larry Lovell of O'Fallon, Rex Lovell and his wife, Rhonda, of Wentzville, MO and Leon Basham and his wife, Jennifer, of Columbia, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service at 12:00 noon Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
