Obituary of Lindsay Jo Whyte

Lindsay Jo (Ogden) Whyte Funeral Services for Lindsay Jo Whyte of Columbia, MO, formerly of Elsberry, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the Elsberry First Baptist Church. Rev. Sam Byers, church pastor, will officiate with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery near Elsberry. Mrs. Whyte, 34, passed away Monday morning, September 1, 2014 at the home of her parents in Elsberry. Born January 25, 1980 in St. Charles, she was the daughter of Harry Gene and Katherine Ann Talbot Ogden. She was a 1998 graduate of Elsberry High School and a 2002 graduate of Maryville University with a B.A. in Physical Therapy. Lindsay was united in marriage on January 27, 2007 in St. Charles to Michael Jackson Whyte. This union was blessed with one son, Mason Samuel. Lindsay worked as the center manager for Select Physical Therapy in Columbia. In her free time she participated in a bowling league, loved camping and all sports. She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Jo Anne Talbot and Chuck Talbot. Survivors include her beloved husband of 7 years, Mike Whyte of Columbia; her son, Mason Whyte, also of Columbia; and her parents, Harry Gene and Kathy Ogden of Elsberry. She also leaves one brother, Joe Ogden and his fiancé, Lonni, of Elsberry; her sister, Jenny Garnett and her husband, Josey, of Macon, MO; grandparents, Harry Eldon and Gayle Ogden and Ellen and Lindell Chamberlain, also of Elsberry; mother-in-law, Brenda Whyte; grandmother-in-law, Mildree Ross; her godparents, Joe Talbot and Christy Dotson, all of Elsberry; several aunts, uncles, numerous cousins, other relatives and many, many friends. Visitation will be held after 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2014 at the Elsberry First Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to the Mason Whyte Education Fund in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 S. 5th Street; Elsberry, MO 63343.
