I was deeply saddened to hear about George's passing.
Just mid-October this year, I was outside with both my son's and a large gaggle of geese flew over our house that were very low and vocal. This reminded me of the fond memory of my first time goose hunting at Yokel's. I told them how I drove all morning to find the hunting spot and how George gave me instructions and drew a diagram on a piece on paper of how to aim and lead geese. I recall him telling me that if I shoot at the first goose chances were that I would hit the third. I told them that on this first morning, using George's instructions, I got two giant canadian geese and I was hooked on goose hunting.
On several other occasions, I hunted with George and I connected with him on a level I did with my father who had passed when I was 13.
I will always have those fond memories of talking with George and Coletta in their camper and their hospitality they shown to me, all the fun times I had at their property and the Christmas card exchanges that has continued for 20 years.
There is nothing I can say that can make anything any better, but I just wanted to let you know that George and Coletta has touched someone's life in a way they may never know.
